The GeoInformation Group was formed in 1998, through a management buy out by its two founders, Drs Seppe Cassettari and Alun Jones from its then owner Pearson PLC.
Seppe and Alun have with nearly 50 years of combined experience in geographic information and mapping. In that time both have held senior positions in some of the UK’s most respected industry associations including the Association of Geographic Information (AGI) and The British Cartographic Society (BCS).
The company is based in Cambridge and is recognised as one of the UK's leading providers of geographic information products, including the award winning Cities Revealed aerial photographic database.
It has a record of delivering high quality innovative products backed by good service, which has led to it being chosen by many respected organisations including Vodafone, Google, T-Mobile, Autodesk, Thames Water, BAA, and Government organisations such as MOD, Metropolitan Police, Communities and Local Government and Ordnance Survey along with 325 local authorities.
